About Matthew
Matthew Smith (he/him) is a determined and enthusiastic triple-threat performer. Born and raised in Sacramento, California, Matthew has always been invested in the arts. At the UCLA School of Theater, Film, and Television, he’s continued to hone his craft through rigorous studies and practicum. On top of a plethora of coursework, Matthew has performed in 2 LA regional productions, 6 UCLA main-stage productions, 2 theater workshops, and 2 short films. In addition to his theatrical work, Matthew is a member of Bruin Harmony, UCLA’s premier all-male a cappella group, where he enjoys singing in tight harmony and serves as an award-winning choreographer. In the past year, Matthew has found a passion for sharing the arts with the deaf and hard-of-hearing communities. He is committed to furthering his skills in American Sign Language to participate in more avenues for people to experience the magic of theater art. He thanks his family, friends, and educators for their continuous support in his artistic journey and endeavors.
