About Tristian

Tristian Kinney (he/him) is a Cleveland-born actor and storyteller based in Los Angeles. His work spans stage and screen, including What It Iz at the Geffen Playhouse and his portrayal of Robert in Proof at UCLA. On screen, he has appeared in feature films such as Nosebleed, Good Thoughts, and By the Grape of God, where he performed opposite Kirk Baltz of Reservoir Dogs, as well as in national commercial campaigns.

Beginning his professional pursuit in his senior year of high school, Tristian has developed a body of work defined by discipline, risk, and intention. He is the creator and lead of his original film Broken Baby Doll, a project centered on dementia and Alzheimer’s that reflects his commitment to telling deeply human stories rooted in memory, care, and legacy.

His artistic foundation began in music, inspired by his mother and shaped through singing in church, where he first connected to performance before transitioning into acting.

Drawn to emotionally complex, grounded work, Tristian’s approach is rooted in honesty over performance, exploring identity, vulnerability, and connection, and creating space for people to be seen fully and truthfully.
